Enjoy Celebrity Radio’s White House Hotel Review At Whitby…..
The White House Hotel @ Whitby is one of the most iconic and best known bars, restaurants and hotels on the Yorkshire Coast.
The views from the restaurant window are nothing short of breath-taking;
The White House has the benefit of being a short 15 minute coastal walk from the centre of Whitby. This short distance not only offers the most sensational scenic views along the coast, but enables you to escape the huge crowds during peak season.
You can enjoy a quiet drink in the bar or stay over in one of the newly renovated hotel rooms, and then enjoy a wonderful meal in the restaurant.
The food is exceptional value for money. The restaurant prides itself on quality and although this is not the cheapest restaurant in Whitby, it certainly delivers on the full dining experience, service and presentation.
The White House celebrate local & seasonal produce. Great effort is taken to make each dish well presented.
Here are three meals served in July 2012 during my stay. Their Summer menu includes a duck egg starter, chicken and scallop entree & local favourite, the legendary scampi with home made Tartar sauce;

The rooms are exceptional by most standards in Whitby. Most rooms have been recently refurbished with brand new bathrooms and decor.
These rooms compare favourably with most 4* hotels and beat all expectations of the bigger chains including Premier Inn located close by. You’ll enjoy tea, coffee and biscuits in the room along with toiletries.
Beyond all of the above, this hotels warmth and hospitality puts it leagues above the rest.
I was hugely impressed by this privately owned and run hotel, bar and restaurant which should be the bench mark for all other seaside properties.
The White House @ Whitby backs on to the adjoining golf course and has a public car park.
