Popcaan developed an interest in music at a very young age, and his early influencers for the same were artists like Super Cat, Jay-Z, Buju Banton, and many others. In 2008, he joined Vybz Kartel’s “Portmore Empire” music group and shared stages with him on major music shows like “Sting” and “Reggae Sumfest.”
