Marcus was born on 11 March 1996 in Greenville, South Carolina, United States. Marcus’s father Marvin King was an established blues guitarist in his hometown. While Marcus’ grandfather was also a well-known musician. Marcus started playing guitar at an early age and accompanied his father on his shows when he was 8 years old and began playing guitar along with him. During his teenage years, Marcus formed his own band and began playing music in schools and juggling clubs.
Marcus decided to drop out of his school when he was in junior year to pursue his music career and began studying guitar players, especially the Allman brothers band co-founder B.B.
