Have you ever wondered about the enigmatic allure of Hollywood star Tom Cruise? His mesmerising acting talent, undeniable charisma, and timeless good looks have captivated audiences for decades.
But amidst the glitz and glamour, rumours have swirled about the possibility of plastic surgery being a part of his journey. This article unravels the truth behind Tom Cruise’s alleged involvement with cosmetic procedures.
Has Tom Cruise had Botox?
For decades, persistent rumours have surrounded Tom Cruise’s involvement with plastic surgery. Despite his noticeable transformation, the 60-year-old Top Gun: Maverick star vehemently denies ever undergoing surgical procedures.
Fans have remained curious and speculated on various treatments, including rhinoplasty, Botox, and fillers, that they believe he might have undergone during his career. However, the actor has consistently refuted these claims.
The only confirmed treatment he has undergone is dental work, where he had ceramic braces at the age of 40, which he proudly displayed at the Minority Report premiere in 2002.
According to Westreich, Tom Cruise has just begun his journey with cosmetic enhancements. He hinted to the publication that the Top Gun star’s appearance differs significantly from a few months ago.
Tom’s forehead looked remarkably smooth during the Oscar run-up, and his eyebrows appeared lower than usual. This suggests he might have undergone a rather heavy Botox treatment on his forehead.
Typically, male actors prefer lighter treatments to preserve their ability to make facial expressions. Compared to past photos of Tom smiling, his brows would naturally go up, and he had visible lines on his forehead.
Has Tom Cruise had Nose Surgery?
Over the years, there have been speculations about whether Tom Cruise underwent any cosmetic treatments. According to Dr Westreich, a specialist in the field, there is a chance that Tom may have had a few minor procedures.
These could include functional rhinoplasty, laser skin resurfacing, and some chin liposuction. Dr Westreich mainly focused on the possibility of functional rhinoplasty, which wouldn’t have affected the tip of Tom’s nose but rather the bony area.
When examining older photos of the actor, slight asymmetry was noticed, suggesting that he might have had this type of procedure before 2005. Around that time, his nose started to appear straighter and more contoured, which could be attributed to airway surgery for improved breathing.
Such surgeries repair deviated septums and crooked bones while leaving the rest of the nose untouched. This restoration may have contributed to the enhancement of Tom Cruise’s nose without altering its profile or tip.
While there is a possibility that Tom Cruise underwent some minor cosmetic treatments, it is not likely that he had any significant changes to the profile or tip of his nose. The focus was primarily on functional improvements and possibly breathing restoration procedures.
Tom Cruise Plastic Surgery Transformation
According to Dawn Attewell, a Registered Aesthetics Nurse at therapyhouse.co.uk, who spoke to The Daily Mail’s Femail, Tom Cruise’s previous appearance in an infamous October 2021 picture was likely influenced by “excessive filler” and “post-procedure swelling.”
His new look, as seen in May 2022, could be attributed to a “hair transplant” and “skin tightening treatments.” However, Cruise has not openly discussed the treatments he has undergone.
Attewell explained that the October 2021 picture showed Cruise with a swollen and puffy appearance, possibly caused by excessive filler, post-procedure swelling, or weight gain. She suggested combining surgical procedures like platysmaplasty and mid-facelift could have contributed to the node.
On the other hand, she praised Cruise’s appearance at the Top Gun premiere, mentioning he looked fresher and may have had Botox or filler. His relatively unchanged hairline, with slight thinning, indicated the possibility of hair transplants.
The more contoured jawline could result from skin tightening treatments like Morpheus8, a micro-needling treatment for fine lines and wrinkles.
Amar Suchde, the founder of AMS Aesthetics, observed that as men age, they tend to lose facial fat distribution along with elastin and fibres in the skin.
While these changes can be attractive, Tom Cruise replenished some of the lost facial fat in October, resulting in a plumper look. Suchde suspected this was achieved through a combination of fillers and Botox, but he also considered the possibility of Cruise gaining weight around that time.
Suchde also noted that Tom Cruise has successfully maintained his noted jawline over the years, which is often lost and begins to droop in many men as they age.
Cruise’s glowing complexion also suggested using laser treatment, possibly Profhilo, a popular skin-boosting treatment.
