Nacho Daddy is one of the most talked about eateries in Las Vegas.
This rustic hangout is totally unique and is the antithesis to most pretentious steak houses up and down the strip.
This place has pure authenticity, character and personality.
Serving exciting food at 3 convenient locations, Nacho Daddy is an American grill with a Mexican flair.
We visited their newest restaurant Downtown, just off Freemont Street.
What this restaurant lacks in glamour, it makes up for in tremendous flavour.
Their signature Scorpion Shot is insane and a huge talking point and certainly worth a visit itself! (picture below!)

Located on Fremont and 4th street, this location offers a more intimate experience.
Their pitcher of margaritas has been voted the Best of Las Vegas for two years running.
They don’t just offer home made tortilla chips, but there’s also daily specials and a wonderfully colourful menu with exciting flavours.
Macho Daddy offer a Vegan menu, healthy salads and gluten-free options as well as all of the Mexican classics you would expect.
There’s daily specials as well as ‘Kids Eat Free Mondays’ and ‘Tacos & Tequila Tuesdays’ and Live music from time to time.
Their Scorpion Shot has become the talk over Vegas…
So to the food…
The appetisers are a meal in themselves!
The Triple Dip is palatial and comes with guacamole, queso dip, salsa and chips – this is the perfect way to start (definitely enough to share)….
The Quesadilla is always a favourite of mine. The Nacho Daddy version was one of the most flavoursome and perfect I’ve ever tasted. 5*!
The Ceviche is a Mexican classic…
So refreshing with fresh and chilled shrimp mixed with tomatoes, onions, cucumber, cilantro & serrano chiles and avocado – lovely way to start the meal!
I highly recommend the corn – good Lord this was good!
Basted in seasoning, corjia chesse, cilantro, garlic mayo & drizzled with lime – this was divine. One of the most original items I’ve ever been served!
Who knew corn could be fun, interesting and appetising???
Also, the Mexi-Cobb salad was a healthy delight. A Mexican spin on one of my favorutie dishes. So light and packed with goodness.
It looked beautiful as well.
Next to entrees….the portions are hugely generous!
We begin with the ‘must have’ entree – seafood enchiladas.
We opted for the special with lobster and crab.
This rustic dish comes with two tacos (soft shell) with Mexican rice and refried beans.
Next came the Thai Chicken Nacho. This is a fiery dish with Asian vegetables, sweet chilli sauce, jalapenos & white queso sauce.

Nacho Daddy offer unique desserts…
The ‘Deep Fried Ice Cream’ is a new one on me. Vanilla bean ice-cream coated with cinnamon sugar and corn flakes & deep fried. Ermmm.
I guess it makes a fun photo lol.
The Churro Sundae comes with cinnamon sugar churro topped with chocolate, raspberry and caramel sauce.
This restaurant has bags of character and personality. The food is great.
If you’re looking for pomposity and fine dining this is not for you. However, if you want a fun time with truly authentic food in a cool atmosphere – you’ll love Nacho Daddy.
